Prof. Arthur Kwena BSc MSc PhD CCC is an Associate Professor of Medical Biochemistry, School of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, Moi University, Kenya. He has been acting Dean School of Medicine for a period of eight months. He was Chair of Department of Medical Biochemistry for 7 years. For the past 23 years he has taught and co-supervised post graduate students at the College of Health Sciences, Moi University and examined many postgraduate theses including one from Makerere University in Uganda where he was an external examiner for a period of 3 years. He is currently a pioneer external examiner, School of Medicine, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, and also the University of Eldoret. His research spans the interaction between malnutrition and malaria, role of isoenzymes in medical research and some aspects of various forms of cancer. He is a member of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, previously a member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene - UK, a committee member of the UNESCO chair of Moi University, a reviewer and associate Editor of several International journals. He has also served as a member of the Community Based Education and Service (COBES) programme of Moi University College of Health Sciences for about 10 years.
