Dr Ntombokulunga Mbuma

Dr Ntombokulunga Mbuma

Dr Ntombokulunga Mbuma is a Lecturer at the University of the Free State, South Africa. She obtained her BSc (Biochemistry), BScHons in Agriculture (Plant Breeding), MSc in Agriculture (Plant Breeding) with distinction (together with a prize for the best MSc in Agriculture Plant breeding), and PhD Plant Breeding, all at the University of the Free State. Her postgraduate degrees focused on sugarcane crop, the research aimed at increasing crossing and selection efficiency in sugarcane breeding programmes. Her research interest is in improving yield and nutritional value of legume crops such as cowpea and bambara groundnut. She is currently involved with Honours, Masters and Doctoral research supervision. Dr. Mbuma has authored several high impact journal publications and conference proceedings. She is a regular reviewer of many high impact international journals that cut across agriculture, crop production and improvement through breeding, and nutritional value of crops.
