Lest we forget!

As we approach the end of December, we reflect on a year that began with great hope and celebration. We welcomed 2025 with aspirations for abundance and growth, unaware of the challenges that lay ahead. The first quarter brought difficulties that persisted throughout the year, affecting many lives. We have witnessed bereavement, illness, and hunger, yet we stand resilient as we move into 2026. If we find ourselves in good health, it is vital to extend our support to those facing hardships. In this era of advanced communication, we are often confronted with the darker aspects of humanity - where empathy and compassion seem scarce. However, it is crucial that we continue to strive for goodness, regardless of our beliefs. The suffering in the world, particularly when it leads to hunger and distress, is a clear reminder of our shared humanity. As we close out this year, I wish everyone a peaceful end to 2025 and a hopeful start to 2026. Let us carry forward the spirit of kindness and support for one another. Let us give hope to our youth, but resources as well, to innovate and do good for humanity. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
