[1] Luana Jorge De Sousa [Brazil] graduated in Nutrition from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (2013), holds a Master’s degree in Food Science from the University of São Paulo (2016), and is currently a PhD candidate in Public Health Nutrition at the same institution. Her research focuses on the association between food insecurity and mortality risk in hemodialysis patients. She is a member of the Epidemiological Studies and Innovation in Food and Health Group (GEIAS) and of the National Institute of Science and Technology – Fight Against Hunger (INCT), both based at the School of Public Health, University of São Paulo. She has experience in the development of food products focused on health and well-being.

[2] Faith Muyonga Mayanja Namayengo [Uganda] is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Nutritional Science and Dietetics at Kyambogo University. She holds a PhD (Wageningen University), MSc. Applied Human Nutrition (University of Nairobi), and a PG Diploma in Maternal and Child Nutrition. Her research focuses on food and nutrition security evaluations, and impact evaluation of community-based nutrition interventions and policies. She has published on microcredit and food security, and obesity among women. Her current work examines food security, NCDs management, food selection and food choice, physical activity, and body composition among university students.

[3] Kirema Janet Mwikali [Kenya] graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition. Currently she is pursuing a master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition at the same university. Her research focusses on the relationship of hypertensive patient’s characteristics, nutrition status and blood pressure. She is passionate about human nutrition and food science which she believes can solve many health and economic issues, if people eat right and food is prepared, processed, packaged and stored in the right way. Ms. Kirema is looking forward to pursuing her PhD in Microbiology.

[4] Dr. Babah Sid El Moctar [Mauritania] earned his PhD in Chemistry and Biology of Natural Products from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, where he also completed his DEA in the same field. He holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Nouakchott, in 2002. He currently serves as a Maître Assistant in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Nouakchott. His research focuses on the nutritional quality of fish and meat. Through his active role within the EBIOMESN research unit, Dr. Babah has authored several scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals.

[5] Dr. Josiah Wilson Tachie-Menson [Ghana] is a faculty member and a senior lecturer of the Department of Crop Science of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Crop Science with a special interest in agronomy, pest management, and sustainable agriculture. He is passionate about promoting food security in Africa.

[6] Fatoumata Sidibe [Mali] is a PhD student in Integrative Public Policy and Development at Tuskegee University, Alabama, USA. She holds two master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics from Tuskegee University, USA and the Faculty of Agronomy and Animal Medicine in Mali and a bachelor’s degree from IPR/IFRA in Koulikoro, Mali. With over five years of experience, her expertise includes agroecology, policy evaluation, international trade, and financial analysis. She is skilled in STATA, R, SPSS, and Python. Fatoumata has worked with IRD and AMEDD, focusing on rural development, sustainable agriculture, and pesticide management through data-driven research and field-based solutions for resilient farming communities.

[7] Shivachi Allan [Kenya] is a Lecturer at Karatina University (Kenya), specializing in Plant Breeding. He holds a Master’s degree in Plant Breeding & Biotechnology from Moi University (Kenya), which he earned in the year 2010, and is currently completing his PhD at University of Embu. Passionate about addressing challenges faced by farmers, he focuses on developing high-yielding, disease-resistant, and climate-resilient crop varieties to enhance agricultural productivity by using both conventional and molecular approaches. Beyond his academic role, Shivachi actively engages in extension, ensuring that scientific advancements translate into practical benefits for the Kenya’s farming sector.

[8] Mr. Abubakar Yusif [Ghana] holds a Master of Philosophy in Nuclear Agriculture, specializing in Mutation Breeding and Plant Biotechnology, from the School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences, University of Ghana. His thesis, titled Prevalence, Incidence, and Molecular Phylogeny of a Fungus (Phytophthora colocasiae) causing Taro Leaf Blight in Ghana, explored a major plant disease threatening taro production. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology from the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana. Mr. Yusif’s research interests focus on plant disease surveillance and diagnostics to enhance crop productivity and contribute to sustainable food security across sub-Saharan Africa.

[9] Dr. Jusna Ahmad [Indonesia] is a senior lecturer on the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at State University of Gorontalo, Indonesia. Her expertise includes plant anatomy, ethnobotany, plant tissue culture, and plant biotechnology. With a strong academic background and research focus, she actively contributes to the study and conservation of local plant species, particularly through ethnobotanical research. As a dedicated educator and researcher, she integrates scientific knowledge with community-based practices, aiming to advance both academic scholarship and practical applications in plant sciences within the field of natural sciences.

[10] Eng. Javier Rey [Colombia] is a Food Engineer with over 20 years of experience, 15 of which were in research, development, and innovation in the food industry. He is a process specialist with a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Innovation, advanced training, and a PhD in progress at Universidad de La Salle, Bogotá. He is a leader in food design, by-product processing, animal rendering, and sustainable solutions development, with over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing high-impact projects, and contributing as advisor and lecturer in industrial, academic, and professional contexts.

[11] Endang Dewi Murrinie [Indonesia] is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muria Kudus, Indonesia. Murrinie holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Yogyakarta, a Master's degree in Agriculture from Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta, and completed the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences in 2018 at Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta. Her research focuses on Seed Technology, Weed Management, and Land Use Evaluation. On December 1, 2024, Murrinie achieved the academic position of Professor from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.

[12] Athanas Michael Mgaya [Tanzania] is a Senior Livestock Officer in the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries at Mbarali District Council, Mbeya. He is an animal scientist with expertise in value chain analysis, aquaculture, and fisheries. Mr. Mgaya holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Production Chain Management (Livestock specialization) from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands. His future research interests focus on value chain development, animal science, aquaculture, and fisheries.

[13] Dr. Jupert Jasser G. Abellana [Philippines] is a faculty member of the Department of Business and Innovation at MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology. He holds a Doctorate in Business Management from Xavier University–Ateneo de Cagayan and is a licensed Chemical Engineer and Professional Food Technologist. His expertise includes product development, operations management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and food technology. Currently, most of his research focuses on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). He is also a reviewer for Scopus-indexed journals and has five accepted papers in Scopus-indexed publications.

[14] Ing. Tarsila Tuesta Chavez [Peru] is a Chemical Engineer from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI), with a PhD in Science and Chemistry from UNI and a Master’s degree in Food Technology and Agroindustry from the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal. She is the head of the Food Research Group (GIA-FIQT-UNI), dedicated to advancing food security. With over 10 years of experience in basic and applied research across various fields such as dairy products, nectars, compotes, fermentation, cocoa derivatives, biofilms for barrier applications, food additives designed to extend shelf life using nanomaterials, among others. Additionally, experienced in trout farming management, promoting sustainable aquaculture and innovation in the agro-industrial sector.
