[1] Dr. Ayokunmi A. Akinduko [Nigeria] is a seasoned educationist and passionate researcher. Her teaching career spans over two decades across both college and tertiary institutions. She had her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Applied Biochemistry from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. She currently lectures at Landmark University, Nigeria. Her research interest includes; phytomedicine, nutrition science, toxicology and neuroscience. She is particularly interested in the use of common and local herbs/plants in the therapy and management of stress-related and mental illnesses, like depression and anxiety. She is also interested in the identification of food phytochemicals and their impact on health.

[2] Mpenda Matabishi Adelphine [Rwanda] lives in Huye district, Southern Province of Rwanda. She has a background in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences (Advanced Diploma) and a BSc in Biology (biotechnology option) from the University of Rwanda. Awarded the Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP), she pursued an MSc in Food Safety (specializing in toxicology) at Wageningen University (2014-2016). Since 2017, she has been an assistant lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences. In 2020, Mpenda received the OWSD fellowship to join the PhD program by research at the University of Rwanda, School of Public Health, which includes a sandwich component at ILRI Nairobi, Kenya. Her research focuses on biomarkers of Aflatoxin B1 exposure in children receiving nutritional support at health center facilities in Rwanda. She is passionate about promoting healthy nutritional lifestyles with an emphasis on risk-free foods.

[3] Andrew Aor Tyoakaa [Nigeria] MSc in Exercise and Sports Science from Benue State University Makurdi, is currently pursuing his PhD in Exercise Physiology at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. A member of the Nigeria Association of Physical, Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (NAPHER-SD) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). An emerging researcher, Andrew has published over 15 articles, with several others currently in press. His research interests focus on the physical activity and health. He has over 10 years of tutoring at Vaatia College Makurdi and six years of facilitation at the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna, Makurdi Study Centre.

[4] Natthaporn Subanmanee [Thailand] is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Food and Nutrition, Department of Food Technology and Nutrition, Faculty of Home Economics Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Thailand. She holds an MSc. major in Food Catering and Technology from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand. She has over 10 years of food science and nutrition research experience. Her specialties include Western and Thai cuisine. She also focuses on developing new pasta products and formulating them to improve their nutritional value and quality.

[5] Dr. Eucharia Agom Ajah [Nigeria] is a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics in the University of Calabar. She holds a PhD degree in Agricultural Finance from the same University. Her research interests are in the areas of Agricultural finance, Agribusiness management. She has been teaching, researching, mentoring and contributing to the graduation of students in the University. She is a teacher and has Co-authored over thirty articles in local and international journals and has attended several conferences and presented papers.

[6] Dr. Codjo Emile Agbangba [Benin] a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in Biostatistics at the Polytechnic School of Abomey-Calavi, University of Abomey-Calavi (EPAC), Benin, has over fifteen years of experience in teaching and research. He has taught Biostatistics at various universities in Benin, Senegal and Haïti. His research focusses on Spatial Statistics, Statistical Methods, Statistical and Geostatistical Modeling and Agronomy. Dr. AGBANGBA heads the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Unit (UIA) at the Biomathematics and Forestry Estimations Laboratory, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of Abomey-Calavi. Additionally, he collaborates with national and international private sectors such as GTI, S-Lab, IROBOTICS, RERE-Sarl, COLEAD among others.

[7] Mr. Kumbirai Takawira [South Africa] is currently a final year MSc. student in Sustainable Agriculture at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He completed his undergraduate degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Fort Hare, under the Zimbabwe Presidential Scholarship. He enjoys and participates in collaborative research with colleagues. Takawira has a deep passion for academics, with research interest traversing food security, value chain analysis and sustainable agriculture.

[8] Dr. Ababu T. Tiruneh [Eswatini] is a Senior Lecturer of water resources and environmental engineering in the Department of Environmental Health Science of the University of Eswatini. Dr. Tiruneh received his BSc degree in Civil Engineering from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, his MSc in water and waste engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom and his PhD in environmental engineering from the University of Siegen, Germany. He has over 34 years of experience in teaching and research and his research interest include water, waste, environmental engineering and the application of numerical solutions to engineering problems. He has produced a number of research contributions in the areas of water supply, water and wastewater treatment as well as numerical techniques.

[9] Dr. Mirau Ndetaulwa Mbise [Tanzania] is a Lecturer of Economics at Mkwawa University College of Education, Tanzania, since 2006 to date. He holds a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics (University of Malawi, Malawi), MSc. in Agricultural Economics and a BSc. Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness both from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. His areas of research are: agricultural marketing, food security, resource economics, macroeconomics and microeconomics. His primary areas of interest in agricultural marketing are food security and output transaction costs. He has also participated in the projects related to HIV/AIDS, climate change, tourism and wild edible fruits.

[10] Anastacia AO Masinde [Kenya] is a Senior Research Scientist at Kenya Agriculture & Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), Food crops Research Centre, Kitale. Has worked with the then Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI). Is currently the Head of Horticulture and industrial crops section and also coordinates Outreach and Partnership activities for Food crops Institute at KALRO Kitale. Anastacia has worked in various projects including Fertilizer Use Recommendation Research project/Fertilizer Extension projects (FURP/FEP), DFID 1995-1999; SMP-Rockefeller 1995-2002; KAPAP, EAAPP, USAID-Feed the Future 2016-2019, KCSAP 2019-2023. KCSAP as VC leader for Cabbage VC, KCSAP RELO and currently a NAVCDP RELO. As a Senior research scientist,she has lead scientist in research Gnats and has the ability to develop/formulate, design, implement and conduct, control , monitor, collect data, analyse, write report/papers and share findings in different fora. She has several publication in journals.

[11] Ajit S. Salunke [India] is an Associate Professor and former Head of the Mechanical Department at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Goa, India. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India, specializing in the automation of post-harvest farming technologies. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from GIT, Belagavi, India. With 23 years of teaching experience, he has organized over 60 workshops/seminars and delivered invited talks on Automation, Robotics, and 3D Printing. He was honored with the CSI TechNext Best HOD award and previously served on the Board of Studies (Mechanical) at Goa University.

[12] Norman Paul Shapiro [Uganda] is a Nutritionist/Dietitian who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (first class honours) at Kyambogo University. He is a graduate researcher in his final year pursuing a Graduate Master of Science in Human Nutrition at Kyambogo University. He has worked on various research projects including Randomized Clinical Trials in nutrition-related topics. His areas of research interest include food security, policy and legislation, public health, clinical and community nutrition, product development, livelihood and gender.

[13] Dr. Haneen Tarawneh [Jordan] works as an assistant professor in Jerash University's Department of Food Science and Nutrition. She received her doctorate from Jordan University in dairy technology. Everything pertaining to food science and technology sparks her curiosity. In addition to being happy to keep in touch and work with AJFAND to publish researches going forward, she would like to publish in the esteemed journal.

[14] Je me nomme Madou Chantal [Cameroon] , chargée de Recherche à l'Institut de Recherche Agricole pour le Développement (IRAD). Spécialisée en Entomologie Agricole, je traite des questions relatives à la protection des denrées stockées et des végétaux. Titulaire d'un doctorat, en Biologie des Organisme Animaux, je m’intéresse davantage aux stratégies de lutte contre les bioagresseurs en stock, en vue de garantir la sécurité alimentaire des populations. Dans cette lutte acharnée, la protection du consommateur et la préservation de l'environnement, restent un défi permanant pour moi. D’où cet article qui traite de la résistance variétale du voandzou comme solution durable.

My name is Madou Chantal [Cameroon] and I'm a researcher at the Institut de Recherche Agricole pour le Développement (IRAD). I specialise in agricultural entomology and deal with issues relating to the protection of stored foodstuffs and plants. With a PhD in Animal Organism Biology, I'm more interested in strategies for controlling pests and diseases in storage, with a view to guaranteeing food security for the population. In this relentless struggle, consumer protection and environmental preservation remain a constant challenge for me. Hence this article, which looks at varietal resistance in voandzou as a sustainable solution.
